Plectranthus argentatus is a low growing and spreading shrub that is native to tropical and sub-tropical rainforest in Australia.
The mid green leaves are covered with tiny silver hairs giving the leaves a velvety silver look. From late summer to early autumn they product tall spikes of bluish-white tubular flowers.
Grow best in part shade but will tolerate full sun, morning more than harsh afternoon sun. They will tolerate moderate drought but are frost tender.
Great as a contrast plant, the soft silver leaves high light leaf shape and colour of neighbouring plants. Plant along borders or in shady gardens and under trees.
