Plectranthus plepalila or Mona Lavender is an attractive and neat, low shrub with an upright habit and does not spread like other Plectranthus.
It has very ornamental foliage that is green on top and dark purple on the undersides and has serrated edges.
From late summer through to autumn it produces spikes of lovely, delicate lavender coloured flowers with protruding stamen.
This is a very useful plant being able to fill shady corners while providing colour close to patios and around water features. They also go well as edging to borders, paths and driveways.
