Amsonia tabernaemontanais a clumping perennial with lots of upright stems topped with clusters of pretty pale blue star-like flowers.
Flowers from late spring through summer.
The stems grow to about 90cm with sparsely spaced mid-green lanceolate leaves.
In Autumn they still add colour contrast as the leaves turn a wonderful yellow before dying down for winter.
For best results plant in a sunny position in groups, work really well in wider garden borders.
