Amsonia ciliata is a clumping perennial with lots of upright stems topped with clusters of pretty blue star-like flowers.
The stems grow to about 60cm with sparsely spaced mid-green lanceolate leaves. In Autumn they still add colour contrast as the leaves turn a wonderful yellow before dying down for winter.
For best results plant in a sunny position in groups, work really well in wider garden borders.
