Chrysanthemum indicum or the Indian Chrysanthemum is one of the parents of the famous 'Mothers Chrysanthemum'. It is however smaller flowered and a little more straggly in overall appearance, though new cultivars have been created that are very attractive for garden cultivation.
Most cultivated varieties are erect and produce a clump of stems atop which are held the open faced flowers.
The grey/green foliage has a rather pungent lemony or chamomile fragrance.
