Cedrus libani is a magnificent specimen tree that you plant for your great grandchildren to enjoy.
It is initially a fast growing plant that takes on a conical shape, though as it ages it adopts a more flattened or domed top with weighty limbs stretching outward to defy gravity. Many older specimens have had branches removed for safety of those underneath.
The needles are fine, dark green in colour and around 35mm long.
There are weeping and prostrate forms which are also popular.
