There are over 2,000 species in the genus Bulbophyllum. We have grouped all the species together.
All orchids in the Bulbophyllum genus have a stem that is divided into a rhizome and a pseudobulb. Usually a single leaf grows from the top of the pseudobulb and flowering stems grow from the base of the pseudobulb. Some stems have many flowers and others only one. The strange and wonderful flowers vary in shape and colour with each species.
