Citrus tachibana is a Mandarin Orange from Japan that is so acidic that it is not good for eating or juicing - though it does make excellent marmalade providing there is enough sugar to balance it up.
The oval leaves are around 6cms in length, glossy and dark green while the fruit is smoothly skinned and around 3cms in diameter.
Very fragrant blossoms appear in spring and are very attractive to bees and other insects.
