Eucalyptus racemosa is a small to medium sized native tree with a bushy crown of grey-silver foliage.
It may produce multiple trunks if there has been localised bushfire disturbance, but if left to its own devices it will grow tall and straight.
the trunk is smooth barked and creamy white in colour - though Scribbly Gum Moth insect attacks leave it with a scribbly pattern of dark brown overlaid.
Foliage is 7-15cms long, mid green with a reddish stem and tends to droop.
Flowers arrive in late winter to springtime and are fluffy white which mature to small rounded capsules.
These hardy plants are long lived often reaching 100 years or more and make good street trees due to their limited height.
