Rhodanthe chlorocephala or the Everlasting Daisy is a popular native annual with grey green foliage and papery daisy type flowers with bright yellow centres which close up in cloudy weather.
Best when sown en-masse to create drifts of colour in borders or on slopes, they make a spectacular spring sight as the myriad coloured flower heads sway in the breeze on their slender stalks.
They also make excellent cut and dried flowers - sometimes lasting for years.
Everlasting Daisies are marginally frost hardy but otherwise very easy to grow and maintain.
