Pseudotsuga menziesii is one of the world's largest trees so best suited to parks and estates.
Although it grows to 50m in its native surroundings of N. America or China it tends to not grow nearly as tall in other areas.
It has a pyramidal in shape with soft, fragrant, bluish green needles, cylindrical trunk with dark brown, corky bark and cones, 5cm long.
