Very pretty, daisy like, golden yellow flowers around 6cm across are produced continuously in summer, though each bloom only lasts for a few days. Flowers are followed by reddish coloured fruits.
These easy to grow and propagate cactus are useful additions for most areas of Australia being fairly cold hardy. They prefer an average minimum temperature of around 10 degrees C but can withstand as low as -6 degrees for short periods.
Grown in most parts of the world as indoor plants.
N.B. they may take up to six years to produce their first blooms.
