Lanarch Castle and Gardens are located on the Otago Peninsula at a height of 300m.
There is a unique collection of specialised gardens and these include a Patterned Garden, the Lost Rock Garden, the Serpentine Walk, the Rain Forest, the South Seas Garden, the Alice Lawn, and the Laburnum Arch and Green Room.
The gardens have a fantastic collection New Zealand native and a nature trail has been created so visitors don't miss anything.

Ballroom Cafe is open from 9.30am to 4.30 daily The Castle Ballroom now serves high tea at 3pm but bookings are essential.
Drive from the Octagon (the heart of Dunedin City) to the Castle via a high route over the centre of the Peninsula. This route has panoramic views of the Peninsula, Otago Harbour and the Pacific Ocean.
