Nasturtium (Tropaeolum spp.) Rainbow Mix.
This collection of nasturtium flowers is made up of carefully selected single, semi double and double facing blooms.
A mix of trailing and bush types which look great in pots, and as a ground cover or cover for untidy corners in your garden and along rock walls and under fruit trees where they encourage
beneficial insects.
It has edible leaves, stems, buds, flowers and seeds.
Nasturtiums will grow in a wide range of soils, but do best in moderately fertile soils in which plants produce less foliage and flower more prolifically. They prefer open sunlight and rather dry conditions though they will still thrive in
partial shade. Nasturtiums enjoy warm weather and should not be planted out until frosts have passed.
Sow a few seeds in clumps 20-30 cm apart. Thinning is rarely needed as they enjoy climbing over each other and actually display well when planted closely.
BONUS:
The leaves are great in salads and sandwiches. The flowers also make an excellent addition to salads both visually and for the extra peppery tang they add to the taste.
