Capsicum annuum:
Sweet Cubanelle is one of the prettiest and easiest varieties to grow.
It is a prolific, yellowy green colour ripening to red, non-bell type with thin skin, compared to bell types, and has a slightly wrinkled appearance.
Originally from Central America it is one of the sweetest capsicum varieties and will grow 6 cm across and 18 cm long.
Sow Capsicum seed 0.5-1cm deep spaced 50-60 cm apart in rows 1.0-1.5 m apart.
The soil should be warm, over 18 C. Capsicums take about 75-90 days to produce ripe fruit.
