I have just inherited a garden in dire need of renovation on a property outside Oberon. There are two large pine trees that I would like to have at least ground cover or something larger under - any suggestions?
Hey Samantha, Clivea go well under trees, but considering your climate there in Oberon (e.g. elevated and chilly in winter) that Azalea or Rhododendron might be a better way to go.
Both of those also like acid soils which you always get under pine trees due to the needle drop that starts to de-compose.
Azalea tend to grow lower and Rhododendrons tend to grow higher - your choice, or a mix.
