G'day - I have a few Dodonaea that I'm about to repot (from a nursery) but notice that a lot of new young leaves are being eaten. I can't seen any bugs on leaves or shoots anywhere on the plants. Is it possible they are being eaten but itinerant bugs? I tried while oil on one of these but appear to have killed it! Grateful for any tips. Cheers Peter
Hi Peter
The markings on the leave indicate that it may be suffering from a fungal infection, possibly Calonectria. An effective treatment is Yates Liquid Copper. You can buy this on our site - here is a link https://www.gardensonline.com.au/Shopping/GardenShop/Show_6561.aspx
