Will they grow from cuttings ?
Yes Carmen they will, Junipers in general are a good prospect for propagation by cuttings.
#1. Ensure the plant is well watered before taking your cutting so it is well loaded with sap in advance.
#2. Choose semi-hardwood to make the cutting, e.g. that grew in the past season, with plenty of needles growing at the tip
#3. Take the cuttings (with a clean, sharp blade) in the morning and strip off any needles in the lower part of your cutting. Then make some shallow cuts into the bark to allow it to access more water once planted.
#4.Plant it immediately and do not let the wound dry out.
#5. Prepare a tray or pots with a good quality, soil-less potting mix.
#6. Dip the tip in rooting hormone powder or gel (and wear gloves and/or wash your hands afterwards).
#7. Plant into the pot and firm the mix down ensuring the cutting is upright - then push four stick supports around the pot edges.
#8. Moisten the soil and place a plastic bag over the upright sticks - this will help keep the plant moist and humid while it takes root.
#9. Water every day and keep in a warm and bright but not direct light location
#10. after a year they should be ready to plant out.
