Mt established Wisteria is not flowering like it normally does. it only has one or two off shoots that have flowered. i did not prune it during last summer or winter.
it is on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
concerned it may be dead/dying. is it too late to prune? should i feed it?
The main causes of Wisteria not flowering are:
# Pruning too late in the season - best time to prune is immediately after flowering and then during the season to keep growth under control. Flowers are produced on 1 - 4 year old branches.
# Too much nitrogen rich fertilizer will encourage leaf instead of flower - it is best not fertilize Wisteria
# Insufficient direct sun
