The cylindrical leaves of Bryophyllum tubiflorum are succulent and around 75cms long with flower laden spikes that rise above bearing red waxy bell shaped flowers through winter.
They propagate themselves very freely from small plantlets that grow on the leaves and take root when they fall.
These are sometimes now called Kalanchoe and prefer warmer climates.
