Androsace lanuginosa or Wooly Rock Jasmine is a low growing and trailing evergreen perennial species has grey green hairy leaves and stems with terminal umbels of pale pink to lilac flowers with contrasting red and yellow centres.
It requires well drained soil and grows well on gravel scree or amongst rocks so is perfect for a rockery or on banks and slopes.
Although it prefers full sun, in hotter areas the afternoon summer sun can prove too strong and light shade can be beneficial.
