Acacia havilandiorum can be seen in two forms either as an erect tree or as a bushy rounded shrub.
In late winter and spring the upper parts of the branches are covered with masses of bright yellow fluffy ball shaped flowers.
The phyllodes are grey-green in colour and long and narrow like needles, some are curved and others straight.
Fluffy yellow flowers are borne on stalks in the phyllode axils, the number of flowers per axil varies from 1 to 3.
For gardeners living in exposed or coastal areas and wanting winter and spring colour, this is an option. It can be used as a windbreak or informal screen inland or in coastal regions
