Allium cernuum Nodding Onion is a bulbous perennial that comes from the temperate regions of North America.
The leaves are thin and strap-like.
In summer many delicate small bell shaped flowers are borne in a drooping umbel at the top of a tall flower stem.
The plants are quite compact and should be planted in a group for best effect.
They make a great addition to a cottage garden border.
