Acantholimon tenuiflorum or Prickly Thrift is a low growing, evergreen perennial that forms a mound - growing well in amongst rocks.
The foliage is short and prickly, somewhat grey/green in colour and is covered in open-faced flowers in pink or white over the summer period.
Originating from dry, rocky mountainsides in Greece and Turkey, they are best suited in cultivation to dry and rock garden designs, where they will reward with lovely flower display throughout summer.
