Acacia cognata 'Emerald Curl' is a small evergreen tree growing to 4m in height.
This is a great all year round plant thanks to its dense form, beautiful lime-green curling foliage with a weeping habit and pretty yellow round fluffy flowers in spring.
Although they prefer full sun they will tolerate positions and once established require very little attention. They will tolerate frost, moderate drought, moist positions and saline soils.
They attract both birds and bees to your garden and can be used as a shade tree or used as a screen or high hedge if planted in rows.
There are plenty of popular dwarf cultivars but the small tree varieties can be overlooked, even though they make excellent medium sized garden specimens and create a strong impact with their delightful weeping foliage
