Bougainvillea Bambino is a dwarf form of Bouganvillea glabra which is is a woody and thorn-stemmed, evergreen vine with glossy, dark green leaves, tiny white flowers and gloriously coloured floral bracts. (N.B. the colourful parts are not the flowers)
This new line of cultivars has been bred by Australian Bougainvillea expert Jan Iredell and is gaining in popularity as they can be now grown in pots on balconies or in smaller townhouse gardens.
Colours, like their larger cousins are brilliant and almost luminescent.
They will flower most of the year round in tropical regions and still prolifically in cooler parts of Australia.
