Ajania pacifica is a hardy perennial with scalloped, felt-like leaves that have silvery undersides that also show at the coarsely scalloped edges.
It grows in a spreading, loose mound that is attractive in its own right, but in autumn the plant is covered in golden yellow button-like flowers, which are quote a highlight.
These are very adaptable plants being happy in direct sun or even fair amounts of shade, they will however always be better in more light than less.
Ajania pacificum is a useful plant for exposed sites as they will adapt to the harder conditions quite well.
