Spikes of licac to pink flowers are carried on long stems above stiff, sword-like foliage which looks impressive in a border or among shrubs. Best in large clumps, this plant is almost evergreen and withstand like boggy soil.
A white version that is officially Watsonia borbonica - but otherwise known as Watsonia worsdworthiana - is very pretty and shares all the other features of the species except flower colour - being pristine white.
