Scented Bouvardia is grown largely for its scented flowers, though this small shrub can be untidy when not in flower but spectacularly aromatic and pretty when blooming.
It's stems and branches are brittle so it does need shelter and care.
The flowers are good for cutting and are finely elongated as buds that burst open into a four petaled star shape of creamy white.
Used extensively in wedding bouquets.
It is however bets suited to warmer climates, being quite frost tender and drought sensitive.
