Isopogon anemonifolius, otherwise known as Drumsticks is an upright but low-growing, bushy, evergreen shrub.
It has rosettes of deeply divided quite leathery leaves and golden, cone-like flower heads in winter and spring.
It will tolerate a light frost, short periods of drought and salty winds.
As with most Australian native plants it is intolerant to high levels of phosphorus so always use fertilisers specially formulated for Australian natives or blood and bone.
This is an attractive shrub for native coastal gardens.
