A low growing, prostrate conifer with needles of blue green foliage forming a dense mat-like groundcover. The needles turn a bronze/purple in winter (cold climates only). A hardy groundcover that can handle frosts, pollution and neglect.
Soil: Moist, free draining soil with moderate fertility. It can handle sands and clays, but does need reliable drainage.
Maintenance: Feed in spring with complete fertiliser. You can prune to encourage density and new growth which helps to disguise any older, more unsightly leaves.
Diseases: Watch out for spider mites - kill with a contact spray.
Other Species: 50 others
