Pyrus ussuriensis or the Manchurian Pear is an attractive deciduous tree, much valued for its autumn colour and profusion of lovely white flowers in spring.
With a broad domed canopy and pyramid-like outline this makes a great shade, street or avenue tree. Glossy, green leaves turn to brilliant reds and coral in autumn, while spring brings an abundance of lovely scented white flowers.
This is one of the largest pear species and makes a magnificent specimen in any garden.
