Hooker's Banksia is a shrub to about 3 metres tall with thin, serrated leaves and large white inflorences of flowers that turn orange when they open.
This is one of the most attractive of the Banksias and is often cultivated for its cut flowers because of their cone size, vibrant colour and long life in the vase.
They prefer the wet winters of WA but will grow on the east coast as well but they do need full sun and very good drainage.
It grows well in coastal situations.
