Aloe arborescens is a tree-like succulent with many branches bearing rosettes of sword shapes fleshy leaves.
From the centre of each rosette a flower stem is produced with a terminal raceme of bright red tubular flowers. Each stem can be 30cm tall.
Flowers during late autumn to early spring so are often planted to give winter colour
Tends to take up quite a large area best used as part of a succulent garden or in a container.
This shares the same common name with Aloe candelabra
