Banksia menziesii can take the form either of a medium sized gnarled tree or a smaller but more spreading shrub.
It has serrated grey to green foliage but it is largely grown for its spectacular autumn inflorescences which are two tone of pink and golden yellow and are great bird attractors.
They are also prized by the cut flower trade for the outstanding cones which are referred to as Strawberry Banksia - and you can see why.
