Acacia viscidula can be seen in two forms as a medium size spreading shrub or an erect small tree. It is commonly known as Sticky Wattle because the foliage and branches are sticky to touch.
It has very attractive soft slightly pendulous foliage, the leaf-like phyllodes are long, linear and sometimes curved. During spring it is covered with masses of pale yellow flowers. The flowers are globulus and fluffy. They grow singulary or in pairs from the phyllode axils along the upper length of the branches.
It is a hardy plant and will survive mild frosts and once established survive droughts as well.
