Grevillea centristigma is a small shrub that grows to about 0.5m in height.
From a distance the small elliptical leaves appear silvery due to the covering of soft hairs.
The flowers are bright yellow and as they age the styles turn red.
They are borne in tight pendulous clusters along the branches from mid-winter to late spring.
The flower clusters are quite small and often hidden by the leaves so not the best choice for cultivation if showy flowers are desired.
Useful as a low informal hedge but unfortunately not widely available.
