Sedum telephium 'Matrona' is an upright Sedum growing in clumps to about 70cm tall and 30cm wide.
Its low and clumping nature and showy flowers mid summer to autumn make this a popular choice for sunny garden borders, for most dramatic effect plant in groups.
The fleshy stems are pink-maroon and the succulent leaves have a deep red-purple tinge.
Large terminal sprays of pink star-like flowers bloom above the foliage in summer and gradually turn a reddish brown colour.
