Worsleya procera is a bulbous evergreen perennial from the Brazilian forests.
These splendid plants need to be planted where they can be admired.
The leaves are quite unusual, they are blue-grey in colour, sickle-shaped and fan out in a semi-circle.
In summer a tall flower spike bears an umbel of up to 8 large funnel shaped lilac-blue flowers.
Plant in an open sunny spot preferably with some afternoon shade.
