Rhododendron loranthiflorum is a very pretty species of Vireya Rhododendron that produces tubular shaped flowers that splay open at the mouth with five rounded petals and erect stamen with orange tips.
It is epiphytic and comes from the highlands of New Guinea (between 1-2,000m) so it prefers warmer climates but can take cooler nighttime temperatures.
This plant is very fragrant and will attract butterflies and bees to your garden as it relies upon them for pollination.
