Tetradenia riparia or the Nutmeg Bush is a semi-deciduous shrub that is grown for its fragrant clusters of white flowers along with rather spicy fragranced foliage with red stems.
The flowers that are borne at the end of the branches are white to pale pink and sometimes slightly mauve.
They flower all through winter and spring, providing colour in the cooler months.
These can be rather floriferous plants and when in good health and a good season can be completely covered with flowers making a spectacular sight.
