Camillia grijsii syn. Camellia yuhsienensisi is an evergreen small tree or domed shrub with an upright and rounded habit.
From autumn to early winter it bears masses of really pretty, fragrant, large single white flowers with heart shaped petals.
Camellia prefer semi-shade but will grow happily with early morning sun and afternoon shade.
They tolerate moderate winds, though if planting in an area with strong winds they will need some protection.
Like most Camellia they can be grown as feature trees, pruned as shrubs and used as hedging.
Generally they like mild and humid conditions.
