Scarlett Bouvardia is a small, upright shrub growing to about 1m in height and width.
This is a very attractive shrub with a long flowering season. Through late spring to autumn the plant is covered with terminal clusters of brilliant scarlet trumpet-shaped red flowers.
It's stems and branches are brittle so it does need shelter and care.
Best suited to warmer climates, being quite frost tender. Will tolerate drought once established but will produce more leaves and flowers if water regularly during the warmer months.
