The problem with plant diagnosis is that we rarely get all the pertinent details, as in this case we'd need to know all about the environment that this plant lives in. In absence of this information I'd suggest that it may not be getting enough direct sunlight. They can tolerate some shade throughout the day, but overall, to be their best they need around 6-8 hours of sunshine.
