Help with my Passion Fruit vine
Star Jasmine
Climbers/Creepers > Sick plants
My passionfruit vine was growing vigorously and had set a good crop of young fruit. I returned from holiday a couple of weeks ago to find it a bit wilted. I gave it a few good waters but it didn't come back. Slowly all the fruit began to wrinkle and the leaves turned yellow. Within two weeks it was pretty much gone. I tried a a pesticide and fungicide but may have been too late. I've cut it back to the woody trunk now hoping it will re-shoot. Any ideas what attacked it? Photos attached.
Looking at the foliage I'd say it was a problem below the surface rather than above as there are no signs of pests eating leaves or fungus. Problems below the soil are hard to diagnose remotely via this medium so I'd suggest digging the root up and taking to your local garden centre who can ask you a lot of pertinent, local environmental questions to help diagnose the problem.
