Can I put groundcover plants over tulips and daffodils?
Duff Daffs
Bulbs/Corms/Tubers > Flowers
I've recently planted tulips and daffodils and I want to add some groundcover flowers so it doesn't look so barren over winter. I've bought some seaside daisy seedlings but now I'm worrying if the bulbs will be able to grow through the groundcover. will they flower alright?
Providing the daisies are not too dense the bulbs will poke through the ground-cover towards the light. I am sure they will be OK this spring but in following years if the daisies become too dense you may decide to thin them out a bit in the early spring.
