My friend told me that Melaleuca Revolution Green makes a good hedge, but i had also heard elsewhere that Melaleucas, and in fact most natives, go rather woody over time and therefore won't stay thick and lush. what's your advice on this please as I really like the look of the foliage.
I have a hedge that is made up of Melaleuca Bracteata - or otherwise known as Revolution Green and I keep it about 1.5m tall on the other side of my pool fence.
It naturally grows as a tree that will reach around five metres tall - but I keep them trimmed regularly and they just keep on creating lush, rich green, thick foliage.
I do need to keep them trimmed fairly often but its such a beautiful hedge its worth the effort.
