Hey guys,
Just planted these. And we have just had a lot of rain on the east coast.
They are now losing all their leaves.
See pics.
Are they dead?
Hi Josh
Unfortunately, your photo has not come through. Although I cannot see your photo I think the trees are suffering from transplant shock. Moving a plant from a pot into the ground can cause the plant a lot of stress and when when that happens they tend to loose their leaves.
This saturating rain is very good for them. I wouldn't worry just yet. Give the plants a few weeks to settle in and you should start to see new growth. When rain has finished it is important to continue to water around the base of the stem ensuring that the water in getting to the roots. Plants take much longer than you imagine to become established, usually about 12months.
