Hi,
I am on my second attempt at growing passion fruit plants in Vines in Victoria. Something is eating the leaves. I can’t see anything on the plants though. I have been trying white oil and chilli garlic spray but can’t seem to stop them being eaten. I am in the Geelong area. Any help would be appreciated
Hi Steve
The damage looks to be caused by snails and slugs. Can you see any snail trails on the leaves? Snails spend the day under rocks or bricks at the edge of the bed and come out at night to eat and leave behind large ragged holes in the leaves.
If you go out at night you may catch them, remove and destroy them. You can sprinkle slug and snail bait around the base of the plant. If you have pets choose a pet family brand like Multiguard.
