We transplanted mature Lilly Pillys during the winter months & all the leaves turned brown & the plants appear to have died. When you scratch the plants stem it is still green underneath & after x2 rounds of seasol several plants have a few green leaves on them. Will these plants survive & what is suggested to help revive them? Thanks
You trees may be suffering from transplant shock, this can happen even if you have taken great care when moving the plants. Prune back the trees to remove dead or dying branches, the aim being to reshape the plants and encourage new growth.
Make sure the root ball is not allowed to dry out - test the dampness the soil with your finger and water as necessary, adding Seasol to the water mix has been shown to reduce plant stress.
